Heat Wave!!

The weather here in Joliet has been absolutely gorgeous for the past two days! Sunny and near 80 degrees. I know that this is a fluke, but it sure is nice to see that summer is truly on the way.

I didn't have any trouble staying focused on my writing today and I'm sure I won't for the rest of the week because I have deadlines. If I didn't, though, I'm wondering if I'd get any writing done at all. This has been on my mind lately because I really need to stay focused throughout the summer. This is my full-time job now after all.

How do you stay focused when it's gorgeous outside?

I'm READY for Spring!

I am so ready for spring! The weather here has been so crazy! One day it's semi-warm, the next it's freezing. One day it rains, the next day there's a blizzard. Argh!

I'm not much of a winter person anyway, but February and the beginning of March seem to be particularly hard for me. I think it's because I know that spring is just around the corner and, soon, I'll see my first robin of the year.

Anyone NOT ready?
